Pub and brewery news roundup

The Admiral Vernon in Over has new owners having been sold by Wells & Co. It will need some renovations but will reopen, free of tie, in a few weeks.

Marcus Turpin, licensee of the Lord Byron Inn in Trumpington, has bought it from Stonegate. This will allow him to make improvements to the pub and associated accommodation facilities. Marcus is also looking to bring his award-winning Turpin’s Brewery out of mothballs.

We will soon have a large new craft keg beer venue in our branch area. Northstowe Tap and Social, which hopes to open around Easter, will have 21 craft keg beer taps and will be located close to the Longstanton Park and Ride site. As well as its tap wall, it will also have a fitness area and on-site bakery. Adjacent to it will be a container housing Steak & Honour burgers.
