Congratulations to Wylde Sky brewery of Linton on gaining two awards from SIBA East. Their Saison won Gold in the Keg Continental Style category and their Cambridge Hazy won Silver in the Keg Pale Ale (4.5-6.4%) category. These and other of their beers can be found in several pubs in the area and also in their own taproom in Linton.

The freehold of the Pear & Olive, better known as the Pear Tree, in Hildersham is on the market.The freehold of the Rose & Crown in Impington has been put on the market by Everards. The pub, which has been closed since June, has already lost much of its rear garden due to residential development.The tenancy of the Hat & Rabbit in Fulbourn is being advertised by Greene King. The pub has been closed for three months.The Red Lion in Brinkley closed at the beginning of the year. The pub’s owner will be putting the freehold on the market.

The Missing Sock in Stow cum Quy is currently closed for refurbishment.

Also in Stow cum Quy, a planning application has been lodged for the Wheatsheaf which closed in late 2019. If granted, the pub would be demolished and replaced by a place of worship for the Plymouth Brethren.

The Rose in Stapleford has reopened. The team running it previously ran the Navigator in nearby Little Shelford which has now closed.

The Admiral Vernon in Over has new licensees. It will need some renovations but will reopen in a few weeks.
