Around the branch in August

Here’s news of some of what’s happening in and around our branch area over the next few weeks.

Monthly meetings

Our August monthly meeting will be at the Chequers, Pampisford from 8pm on Tuesday 13 August. Our monthly meetings, on the second Tuesday of the month, are open to all branch members. Feel free to attend, hear what’s going on and have a chat over a beer or two. September’s meeting will be at the Hare & Hounds, Harlton.

August strolling social

Our August strolling social is on Saturday 10. We’ll meet at noon at the Ancient Shepherds in Fen Ditton. Spending 40 minutes to an hour in each pub we’ll also visit the Plough and the Kings Head in Fen Ditton before walking through the meadows to Chesterton to visit the Green Dragon and Haymakers. We’ll finish up at Othersyde next to the Museum of Technology on Riverside. Join when you like and leave as you wish. For more details check our website or email me.

It can be done using the Good Beer Guide app or via WhatPub, either from your phone while you are in the pub or from home afterwards. Please also use WhatPub to give us feedback on the pubs you visit, especially if you discover inaccuracies in the pub’s entry.
