Pub news round up

The Royal Standard on Mill Road is now open every day from noon.

We now know who will be Emma’s successor at the Red Bull in Newnham. It will be Mikey Pearson who has run several pubs in Cambridge, most recently the Salisbury Arms on Tenison Road.

Lance and Sharon have left the Hop Bind in Cottenham after 5 years as licensees. Zak, who is well known to the pub and its customers, has taken over. The Red Lion, Swaffham Prior will be reopening soon under new licensees, John and Lana.

The St Radegund on King Street has a sign in the window saying “20+ Taps. Keg, Cask, Ciders, Wines and much more. Opening Soon.” We have had false dawns before for the Rad; let’s hope that we’ll be inside Cambridge’s smallest pub again soon.

Greene King are seeking new tenants for the Duchess of Cambridge (formerly Hudson’s Ale House) in Trumpington.
