Pub news round up

We were sad to hear that Tony Gunsman of the Six Bells, Covent Garden passed away in February. Tony’s partner, Eileen, will continue running the pub.

Having been closed since February 2022 the former Little Rose in Haslingfield reopened as House of Spice in December. If you have visited it, please let us know if it retains a pub area.

After over seven years managing the Devonshire Arms, Kyle Dowling left in late March to move back to Liverpool. We wish him all the best. Natalie will be taking over as the new manager.

The Admiral Vernon in Over closed recently. Wells & Co are seeking new tenants. The tenancies of the Greene King-owned Blue Lion in Hardwick, the Everards-owned Rose & Crown in Impington and the Wells & Co-owned Golden Ball in Boxworth are also all on the market.

The Maypole on Portugal place are looking for a local artist to create a piece of art to decorate the wall of their courtyard, which will fully reopen in April.
