The 22nd Cambridge Winter Ale Festival

Almost 3,000 visitors, over 6,000 pints of real ale plus copious amounts of cider and foreign beer and all was over by 8:00pm on Saturday night. Yes you drank us dry. Clearly the addition of an extra day to the schedule meant we attracted more visitors. Thursday night was as well-attended as ever, but we had already welcomed over 500 people by that point.

We don’t do a beer of the festival for winter so I can’t announce any awards I’m afraid: some casks don’t last long enough (4 hours 2 minutes in one case) for enough people to get to try them, but I sincerely hope everyone who attended found something they really liked.

Finally it just remains for me to thank all the hard-working volunteers without whom no CAMRA festival could happen.

Thank you all and I hope to see you on the 21st of May when we get to do it all again.
