Covid-19 : what pubs are doing

On 5 January England went into a its third lockdown to further suppress the spread of the Coronavirus. Pubs can still offer takeaway food and non-alcoholic drinks but can only sell alcoholic drinks if they deliver them. Off-licenses can sell takeaways as well as deliveries. Breweries and cidermakers, if licensed, can sell takeaways and deliveries but cannot sell takeaways from a tap room. This is only a summary of the full rules.

Some pubs were offering takeaway services under Tier 4 restrictions. Most of those still will under lockdown but some have decided that it isn’t financially viable to sell food but not alcoholic drinks.

We’re trying to keep track of which pubs in our area are offering services. It’s a rapidly changing situation and without doubt some of our information is missing, outdated or just plain wrong. If you see something that needs changing please email us.

As well as pubs offering services, many of our local breweries and cider makers are also offering delivery or collection services. Below the pubs list are specialist off-licenses.
