Greene King has taken over the Magic Pub chain of 280 pubs. (Cambridge Evening News 21st June). Will it allow them to remain true Free Houses, with the landlord free to buy from any source, or will they have just Greene King beers whilst still being labelled "Free Houses"?
Back in the Seventies Nick was founder Chairman of West Dorset CAMRA and then landlord of a CAMRA Investments pub in Woolwich. He was landlord of The Alma for much of the Eighties and these days runs The Cambridge Blue. He was the local Monster Raving Loony candidate in the 1992 General Election.
