Congratulations to Pickled Pig, the cider producer from Stretham, near Ely.
Their Porker’s Snout won the Bronze Award at CAMRA’s National Cider and Perry Championships.
Judges described it as “a complex, well-balanced cider. The floral aroma is followed by a sweet
and sour taste with a hint of pineapple and dry finish”. Our photo shows Charles Roberts of
Pickled Pig accepting the award from Andrea Briers, our Regional Director and CAMRA’s
cider supremo, at the Stretham Village Feast.
Cambridgeshire also triumphed in the 2010 East Anglian Bottled Cider Competition,
where the results were:

- 1st Oliver’s Choice, from Cromwell Cider, Huntingdon
- 2nd Cider, from Ouse Valley Cider, Cottenham
- 3rd Spartan Cider, from Cam Valley Orchards, Meldreth.
