Yes I do have a view regarding babies/children in pubs! I support Stephen Ryderís comments in ALE 342. I have always said that children and pubs donít mix, and that some parents have a lot to answer for in allowing their offspring to run riot in such establishments.

On one occasion on asking a mother to restrain her child I was met with a tirade of abuse, and told to f--- off, and in another instance in bad taste I and other drinkers were given a demonstration in breast feeding. As a father of two grown up sons, I feel that I could not be labelled a prude, therefore I feel that I can honestly say, a public house is not the place for such activities.

Finally, I ask myself are pubs to become nurseries for the push-chair brigade, I sincerely hope not.

Yours Sincerely
