Cask Marque Update
In March Cask Marque announced the next phase in its campaign for beer quality:
a Distributors Charter to help ensure beer arrives at pubs in the best possible condition.
For instance, all deliveries to pubs must be at least 14 days before best
before/sell by dates to give the licensees enough time to let the beer settle and mature.
This may cause difficulty for one of the Cask Marque corporate members,
a certain pubco which is rumoured to source short-dated beer so as to be able to flog it cheaply.
Awards
According to the Cask Marque Web site, these pubs have been awarded Cask Marque recently:
- Kings Head, Sawston
