Roger Protz' article in What's Brewing (Beer section, Feb. 2005) explains this re-creation of of Alsopp's Artic Ale was based on research by Frances' father, Brendan, of Iceni Brewery, Ian Hornsey (ex-Nethergate), Ray Anderson of the Brewery History Society and Colin Miller of the Colchester & NE Essex branch of CAMRA.
