• (25-Jan) Info from The White Swan in Stow-Cum-Quy:
  The White Swan is running a mini beer festival with guest beers from Woodford and Nethergate primarily. All pints are £2.30 and half pints are £1.15. The ABV ranges from 4.3 to 7.0 with 13 different beers being available, such as Norfolk Nog, Old Growler, Nelson's Revenge, Great Eastern, Admiral's Reserve, Vixen and Priory Mild.

  We are also doing a "bangers and mash" meal deal for £6.00 (with a vegetarian option): this includes a pint of any of the real ales in the beer fest.

  The beer fest is due to end on Friday 30th January (unless the beer runs out earlier).

  If this is well-supported then it may become a regular event, with a few of the favourites available for a real ale weekend.

  The long-time branch volunteer Ken "Hairy Womble" Longford has died suddenly. Ken was one of the earliest CAMRA members and was involved in nearly all the Cambridge branch's beer festivals and with others such as the Great British Beer Festival. He also worked for CAMRA HQ activities such as fundraising. He will be sorely missed. Ken's life was celebrated at the West Chapel, Cambridge Crematorium, on Thursday 8th January.
