Each branch which nominates a Pub of the Year usually participates in this annual competition and judges the Pubs of the Year of the other branches in the county.

The winner was The Coalheaver's Arms, the first of the pubs owned by the small pubco associated with Milton Brerwery. (The other two so far are in North London.)

The next stage is the Regional Pub of the Year, with a similar voting process.
