Membership Recruitment Award 2002

At the CAMRA Members Weekend in April 2003, the Cambridge & District Branch received the Membership Recruitment Award 2002 for the large branches category, having recruited the most new members in past year amongst those branches.

As of April there were 614 members, up from 552 a year before.

Thanks to all concerned!

The membership fees greatly aid the national campaigning cause and the extra people are starting to make a difference to local activities (though more activitists are always welcome!). 3% of the branch membership are year-round activists, 4% including Beer Festival workers.

Nationally, membership is steadily increasing and is now over 56,000.
